Melissa Suzanne George is an actress, model, inventor and businesswoman from Australia. When she began her career in her native country she moved to Hollywood and found great successes at the top of her game. A native of the city of Perth George was initially interested in dance and creative roller skating. At the age of a teenager, George began modeling and was named Western Australia's teenage model of the year in 1992. The actress made her debut on screen next year, in an episode of Seven Network's soap series Home and Away. Her debut appearance on the big screen, in Dark City's thriller of mystery, she played a variety of secondary roles on Alias The Limey, Down with Love and many other films before taking her first role as a female lead in mainstream Hollywood with the remake in 2005 of The Amityville Horror.
